Orchestral

This is “Genji,” a concerto for the Koto, written by Daron Hagen and performed by Yoko Reikano Kimura.

• The Koto was recorded by 2 mics, one from above, and one from below where the sound hole is located. The orchestra was captured by a stereo ensemble recording technique.

• This recording occurred in Summer 2018, when I was the audio engineer intern at the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival. Part of my job included recording and archiving every concert.
